For those of you wondering what the price tag for the Indo-US Nuclear deal was, you have to look no further. Our Communal Socialist Prime Minister has spelled it out. It is actually 6 words long and come packaged as a treaty. It is actually a bundled pricing comprising peace, friendship and security, very much in that order. Standing just 30 km from the Pakistan border, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Wednesday urged both countries to bury their acrimonious history. Without directly reacting to the latest Kashmir solution formula proposed by Pakistan, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Wednesday said he welcomed “all new proposals”.
Offstumped takes a critical look at what Manmohan Singh had to say.
Manmohan Singh started off with how Amritsar has benefitted from cross border trade. He then went on to obliquely welcome Musharraf’s proposals while stopping short of calling them out. He then went spell out his vision. His vision interestingly calls for an atmosphere of “Friendship” and “Trust” as pre-conditions for a Treaty of Peace, Friendship and Security. He then wrapped up with how such a treaty would be crucial to improving the economy in border towns which has suffered on account of security concerns.
The Hindustan Times in its analysis of the speech remarked that it was no ordinary coincidence that each time India is a step closer to concluding the nuclear deal with the United States, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh goes the extra length to offer an olive branch to Pakistan. The last time the PM made a forceful public presentation on the possibilities of peace with Pakistan was on March 24 in Amritsar as well. The Hindustan Times being a closet congress mouthpiece was being extremely charitable to the Prime Minister when it rationalized the Prime Minister’s remarks as to dispel the impression that after putting relations with the US on solid footing, India has a lesser incentive in making peace with Pakistan. Perhaps the most revealing observation comes from an analysis piece by the DNA which described the speech as a signal that India “was now ready” for substantive talks with Pakistan. So what exactly has changed since the 7-11 Mumbai Bomb Blasts that Manmohan Singh is “now ready” while he was not earlier. Let us examine this question.
To refresh everyone’s memory, the peace process was put in cold storage post the bomb blasts with some very tall promises by the Prime Minister. In fact to quote him, Dr. Singh used phrases like “zero tolerance”, “it will not be business as usual”, “past responses have been inadequate” in dealing with terrorism. Many months and Malegaon blasts later, Dr. Singh stumped all of us with his Havana handshake a joint anti-terrorism institutional mechanism. At the time the mechanism was sold to the Indian public by his spin meisters as the way forward to get Pakistan to act on terrorism. Soon thereafter as the proverbial litmus test for the institutional mechanism the Mumbai Police cracked open 7-11 blasts and put the blame squarely on Pakistan’s ISI and Pakistani Nationals for direct participation. The Mumbai breakthrough announcements caught the Manmohan Singh Government on the wrong foot clearly with utter confusion in New Delhi and it was left to the new Foreign Secretary to clarify that the evidence will be presented a month later to Pakistan and that it will be made to walk the talk. A whole month passed as the nation held its breath for the “momentous” foreign secretary level talks in New Delhi. The moment came and went and not a whisper on 7-11. Not a single official word or clarification. All we have are unofficial anonymous leaks to the media on how the evidence was not compelling and how a technical issue of not having a chargesheet got in the way. No questions asked however on why despite a 30 day lead time the Government of India could not get its homework done on making Pakistan walk the talk on the deadliest terrorist attack on Indian soil in a decade.
Another month has since gone by and the Mumbai ATS have now revealed that the Malegaon blasts and the Mumbai blasts were all linked to the same groups in Pakistan. Still there is not a word not even a whisper on what the Government of India is doing to bring them to justice and how Pakistan is being made to walk the talk. So this brings up the question Dr. Singh how exactly is that atmosphere of Trust and Friendship going to get created ?
Well Dr. Singh has answered it for us as well. With the passage of the Indo-US Nuke deal in the U.S. Congress and the signing of it into law by the U.S. President the U.S. has signalled that it has walked the talk on its side of the bargain. As the Indian U.S. teams sit down to negotiate the actual treaty to be signed by the two countries, the U.S. clearly expects the Indian side to keep its side of the bargain which in the case seem to be expectations of a Indian Pakistan deal to humour Musharraf. How else can one explain these overt signals to the Pakistan on the heels of moves by the U.S. in the absence of any evidence overt or covert that Pakistan has actually acted on terror or on India actually compelled Pakistan to act on terror.
Offstumped Bottomline: It is becoming increasingly clear that the Manmohan Singh Sonia Gandhi lead UPA Government never had any intentions of holding Pakistan accountable for 7-11. They just hoped that it would go away with some lip service to fighting terror through another bureuacratic formulation like the institutional mechanism. When it didnt they were caught in surprise but they just used time and the grand Indian Amnesia to their advantage to sweep it under the carpet till everyone forgot about it. And now with all the euphoria over the nuclear deal they are all set to move on as a quid pro quo. The BJP with its hair splitting analysis of the Hyde Act in Parliament seems to have missed this angle, will it wake up atleast now ?

Till 1971 India had edge over Pakistan both moloteraly and diplomatically as leader of third world.America never helped Pakistan a Muslim country but used it to be pawn against india,a trusted allie of uSSR in cold war.Russia ,however was firmly behind india by defence treaty.
1971 to 1989 went peacefully.after Zia rajiv Benazir went steps ahead for peace too.As claimed by Pakistan ex general Mr. Beg,Nuclear deterrent was at its place with both after 1980.
And when bJP went for nuclear Pokhran 2 and both china and Pakistan faced the heat,things have changed now.Pakistan has proved its deterrent to Vajpeyee at Kargil both conventional and nonconventional.thanks to joint venture of china Pak against bJP govt.Vajpeyee did not cross LOC in both Kargil and operation Parakram.
Musharraf visited all sAARC countries and we saw all Nepal,B. Desh and even Bhutan lanka showing eyes to india.OIC after BJP endorsing Isreal,started supporting Pakistan over kashmir first time.And seeing bJP america strategic going,Islam got united and Communists first time joined hands with Islam.america had to take U turns and joined hands with Pakistan and not with bJP lead India.Rest is history.
In other words now Pakistan is not Pakistan of 1971 and has proved its deterrent of all types.And hence BJP must note that Atalji himself had to convert Nuclear bomb in to cricket ball and commence Peace talks.
But now it is not easy to wash out past bitterness and BJP has to spell out its policy over Kashmir,Uniform civil code and Mandir,otherwise Pakistan shall be diplomatic till BJP nears power in india with such image,record and programme.China too shall watch and USA shall be mere spectator or even give concession to Pakistan against India to save its skin now.
Musharraf has virtually reunited Pakistan and BangalaDesh and Both countries saw communalization of Politics after BJP took over in India .Nuclear aggressions have resulted in arms race and big proliferation.And new weapons of Human Bombs are developed as cheapest and effective answer to nuclear and even America is helpless with its trillion dollars arsenal.Musharraf was first Pakistan president to get red carpet welcome in Russia during bJP rule.Musharraf is all weather friend of China and indispensable for uSA.He has virtually uified Pakistan and Afganistan.52 foreign ministers gathered in Pakistan last Year to listen him.He has convinced oIC how islam needs to understand Unity and use brain and heart and not only teeth and nails as it controls 20% Global land and population and minerals and huge oil.Musharraf has emerged as indispensable in Pakistan too as new P. M. has no problem and Zardari too is ditching Nawaz Sherrif. this player of Kargil has ability to have peace too as he knows how important and valuable peace is.He immediately respodded to Atalji’s peace talks.He has age to his side and has commenced second inning with all reconciliations.
On such backgrounds,what about foreign policy of Advaniji without Vajpeyeeji without Global friends and internal mandate?It is question of 110 crores Indians.Unfortunately such talented leader like Advaniji was used only for dirty work for Atalji and now it is big question of P. M. with such image as now situation has drastically changed.Peace talks depend o all of it now.
When some 3 years back I had asked to People’s Democracy,CPM weekly Organ a question as to what Communizam thinks of religion it replied in greater length.
Crux of the reply was Religious belief by Human being is something idealogy that he does not find in Family,Society or Nation.Marxizam is not against such faith of an individual but it thinks of providing such uniform atmosphere in society so that need of religion is not at all fealt.this is Rajdharma.And without addressing these basic needs of an individual if a religion takes him to iilusary atmosphere it is like consuming ophim to get temporary relief.marxizam also believes in freedom to every atma to choose ita parmatama.But it is individual’s private choice and politics needs to be seperate of religion as there are several different faiths.they also oppose something like unjustice to Eklawya in name of religion etc. Etc.
I think all political parties in india and Pakistan must note this analysis seriously and seperate politics from religion as not long back India Pakistan and China were at par viz a viz percapita income is concerned but due to religious tentions where are these two neighbourers now?
Any treaty of friendship shall succeed longterm only when real meaning of religion is known by both nations now.
Gen. Musharraf could have pleased America by using his constitutional powers to sack this Govt. He would have been Darling of America had he raised Kashmir issue aggressively with India.But General has really shown great maturity in interest of not just Pakistan but this region too as he showed for last decade.
Gen Has done tremendous job in given situation to make Pakistan big and modern Islamic country.Is he Alu Tamater that he should leave his dearest Pakistan?Why should he?He is brave soldire who has married with death long back when he joined army.It is up to Pakistani democracy to honour its own Ex president.
He has potentitial beyond Pakistan. He has done lot for Kashmir and has shown how lot more can be done between two neighbourers.His strategies over Kashmir and war on terrorizam were in interest of this region.
He has Global potential and Pakistan must use him as super Ambasador in Global affairs and Kashmir issue honourably.

Political turmoil in pakistan is on cards as America is imposing things in both countries.Gen Musharraf had to show fingers to India in his speech and said that to avoid Horse trading he is resigning.
Basically Zardari got partial mandate not for him but it is for Benazir and that too sympathy mandate.But he is encashing it fast .As a true politition,Nawaz is raising all ackward question to PPP as Nawaz knows how zardari is wonder of few months and then Nawaz shall be boss. Hence instead of junior partner he is using power to build future.He shall never work as junior partner and destabilize coalition.Zardari shall escape by becomming president and Nawaz too shall be happy to send him to Presidentship to become political boss.this is real tragedy as real issues are very serious. same in india for last 20 years since Rajiv Gandhi was kissled.
Terrorists are proactive both in Pakistan and India as America is not honouring mandate and public opinions and Terrorists want to meet america in advance steps.
Basically Bullets is not only answer and ignoring mandate by uSA to impose its choices is complicating this region and interdependancy in globe now shall not allow any country to remain unburnt if fire is fueled in any part of this multypolar globe.

F. has withdrawn support to uPA govt.And now Nawaz sherrif too has withdrawn.In india BJP and 120 years old congress are in competition of lokking more close to america.Terrorists as such see both countries as american puppets and America after its own polls may use millitery of both countries as per its own ways.Terrorists are as such proactive.
Kashmir is such bone of contention that india can be engaged effectively there.Few terrorists can do the difference.
Gen Musharraf has got required rest now to use his wider potentials Globally.There are reports that he is offered 2000000 pounds for his one lecture and he shall be in demand everywhere.He really played diverse roles at atime in most crucial times and saved Pakistan and Region from desasters.He convinced Pakistanis and dealt with both america and communizam too.He emerged as tall leader of oIC too.He has now emerged as Clinton or blair to share his experiences for global betterment.
Unfortunately after Rajiv Gandhi Indian influence in global affairs is reducing drastically.Political uncertainty.there are reports that Global Communizam is now preparing for second cold War.

Time to stop tolerating Pakistan and its anti-Indian terrorist activities !
First 40 years of Independance were glourious.Muslims were feeling secured,Dalits were given new role,Tribes were brought in main stream,RSS cadre was active in govt and Pvt Sector building nation,Sikhs were participiting everywhere.Public sector was boosting Private sector and we also achieved selfsufficiency in Agriculture .Political stability with Global reputation as plural,secular,nonaligned nation as model for third world with socialistic mixed going was there.
But seperetist approaches by major forces and political overambitions has weakened country and extremizam is feeding on each others both in and out of nation.
All must introspect and return to participator role than partitioner role again.
Globally too last 2 decades have seen major changes.
