This is not the first time but here we go again
July 9th – Karnataka Minister clarifies “no government order was issued, no funding was provided”. Same article also explains how the Program works on a voluntary basis and not on a mandatory basis.
July 12th – Minority groups move High Court on a circular
July 13th – SFI stages a protest
July 14th – High Court issues notices to state and central governments
July 15th onwards – sustained campaign begins in Christian media slamming Karnataka Minister
#2 Ekklesia
July 17- Governor joins the debate
July 19 – Delhi based media joins the debate. Karnataka Minister once again clarifies it is not a Government program.
But predictably the buck does not stop with that clarification …..

Yosarin, I have been to Swarnavalli, Sonda 6 months ago. Kannada Prabha reported correctly SFI did not protest. They
- Tore swamiji’s garlands
- Broke swamiji’s sacred Peeta (seat)
- Snatched Bhagawadgeetha and tore it when a student protested their presence.
- Vandalised the place and threw all Fruits and Flowers and other pooja material.
So called minorities also have Buddhists as well as communists among them.
This is unbearable.
The channel which is taking the FIGHT, should be panalized, and punished, BJP is not doing enough which it should do and teach this channels a lesson.
what i meant by fight is the channel which is taking this issue to fight with K’taka govt. and BJP by distorting facts, its clear by seeing their video.
What about Christian institutions where all students have to attend bible lessons. What if Quran was torn instead of Gita? Hindu community is really shameless. Is the minority community asking for a Godhra type situation? Control your fellas. Otherwise don’t cry later.

Ragu,
If you could you please provide the Kannada Prabha report (maybe a scanned copy) exposing SFI’s vandalism and violence, that would be great.

Prajavani and some other paper reported dishonestly. For example Prajavani said something like “sfi protested paecefuly and at the end all the materials were scattered”! You can imagine how peaceful things are when at the end you have a vandalized place. Swarnavalli Sri whose discourses I have heard several times is well versed in Advaita philosophy and is a very good scholar of Sanatana Dharma.
As we approach 2012 and 2014, we will witness more and more such engineered outrages.Social media like this one have a role.I would not have known about SFI etc, but for my brother Ragu’s post above, I would not have known the facts.Such is the hold of so called secular media. But then truth has a way of bursting forth at the right place and at right time.
More such outrages, more such manufactured stories, more will be the ability of the “gullible” to see through.
